Came second in the first SNG of the day and was getting it in good throughout, however my Aces beat by Ten Six AIPF was a bit of a sickener so I decided to play an MTT. One that was coming up soon was the $22 Deepstack Six Max, which is exactly the same tournament as the one I came fourteenth in yesterday except the buyin was double and the field was halved with 291 runners compared to the 567 in yesterdays tournament. Started off well and managed to double up in no time, then a big pot happened when I check raised all in with 7s7h on a 3s4s6s flop for the guy to find a call with AcQs. However I managed to fade and my stack grew pretty healthy for the stage in the tournament. Continuing on I used my tight image to build my stack with timed steals & resteals. Then late on had Kings and managed to get it in preflop against Jacks for a very big pot with ~50 left, picked some spots which were far and few between as, for some reason I manage to build a decent stack in most MTTs and when it comes down to the endgame I become completely card dead and can't find any suitable spots to resteal etc so I folded like 543985993 in a row and got down to the final two tables sitting in 8/12. Two shortstacks went out pretty quickly and we were left with 10. I made a few steals with Q9s and A7s but then for the next 20 or so hands a Jack 7 was about as good as it got and with the blinds at 1250/2500 with an ante of 500 I found Ace 9 UTG and decided to ship my 10 big blinds in as we were playing five handed and my image was ridic at this point. Anyway the small blind snapped the 25k call out of his ~100k stack and so did the big blind who had similiar chips. The put was ~75k upto now and I wasn't feeling great about the situation at all. However, when a T-9-4 flop came down and both players checked I thought there may be a slight possibility I was ahead. The turn came down a 7 and the small blind bet minimum, I didn't have a clue what this meant and the big blind called which could be anything with such a small bet into this large pot. The river came down a 6. The small blind bet minimum again and again the big blind called. The small blind turned over his hand and showed a set of sevens and the big blind had AKs meaning I was dominated preflop and managed to luckout on the flop, but the turn killed me and meant I was out in 10th place and short of the final again. =[
I did take $93 and meant I was in profit of around $120 for the day. I've been thinking about the last hand and still think I have to get it in there. Maybe not an open shove but a raise and call of a reraise as I can't raise fold in that spot. Pretty pleased with the result but want to be start hitting the top three places in the tournament. I think it's just a matter of time and volume.
After this tournament I loaded up three SNGs, went out of the first one in ninth place after getting it in with Queens on a T-8-3 flop against Jack Ten for the turn and river to come running Jacks. Then shoved AK into a guy who found a call with KQ and the flop to come KQQ, you just can't make it up. Then in the final one managed a second and recovered the losses from the other two. Really happy with how i'm playing in these and the spots im getting in, just need to be playing alot more.
The final game of the day was the Pokerisk weekly tournament with 30 runners. Big unlucky to Mike who lost with Jack Eight against pocket Jacks in the second hand haha. The next hand lost Q7 AIPF v J8 I think, for the river to come a Jack, huggee beat =P. It got down to 21 players and I have KsJs and raise it up for the button to call. The flop came down TsTc7s and I check raised all in for the button to call with pocket threes. A Queen non spade hit the turn giving me more outs but the four of clubs on the river sealed the deal and I hit the rail. =[
For the day I ended up ~$120 for the second day running and feeling good about my game which is important.
Here are the stats...

Ended the night with watching some more of The Mentalist and watched the rest of the first season and the first two episodes of the second. Really enjoying it but there are only seven episodes left upto the current one. =[ However Matt has recommended me Dexter to watch so I will definately start watching it as soon as I have finished these.
Today i'm going to be playing SNGs with maybe an odd MTT or two. Got the MiniFTOPs Event #18 coming up in two hours which should be very interesting. It's a cash out tournament meaning you can take your chips out of the tournament at any time and cash in every 500 chips for $1. The buyin is $20 with $10 going into the prize pool and $10 going into the cash out section as this covers your amount of starting chips, 5000. Not too sure how i'm going to play this yet but will probably be not cashing out and hopefully move up quite a bit from those who do, then take it down haha. :P
Finally, watch this video, the guy who made this is a genius. It's regarding the current race to Christmas number one between Joe McElderry and Rage Against The Machine.
Anyways, im off to play.
Thanks for reading and glglgl,
Jonny.
